As the newest addition to ITASA, our Philanthropy department’s goal and purpose is to provide avenues of collaboration within ITASA as well as between ITASA and the communities it serves. The department aims to do so by utilizing two different concentrations: the Database of Contacts and special projects.
The Database of Contacts serves as a resource for the ITASA National Board and affiliates by maintaining updated and new contact information to organizations and contacts that are pertinent to the implementation of the ITASA mission and goals.
In the special projects arena, ITASA will be focusing on Internal and External projects, which are voted on by the National Board following the ITASA National Board Fall Summits. The implementation of Internal Projects are led by the ITASA National Board, and upon completion, presented to the public. The External Projects are larger-scale, community intensive projects that will be helmed in collaboration with co-sponsors in the community.
With an aim of strengthening the bonds in the Taiwanese American and Asian American community through collaboration, the ITASA Philanthropy Department welcomes suggestions from our friends concerning projects to participate in. Please contact Stephanie Liao, National Philanthropy Director, at stephanie.liao@itasa.org for more information.
