ITASA connects Taiwanese American students with leaders and influential persons in the Taiwanese community. Students are given an opportunity to discuss, interact, and be inspired.

Annual Regional Conferences

The ITASA Conference takes place each year at a school in each of the three regions. Programmed entirely by students, featuring lectures, workshops, and performances, Annual Regional Conferences provide a unique opportunity for students to learn and think about their identities, increase involvement, and build lasting friendships and ties. Annual Leadership Retreats

Retreats bring together current and aspiring leaders of the various campus organizations in the fall, providing programs to help leaders sharpen skills such as event organization, public speaking and motivational methods. (read more...)

ITASA Awards

ITASA seeks to identity those who have contributed to their community. Since 2003, ITASA has recognized student groups and student leaders who have made outstanding contributions to their community. Winners are awarded each year at the regional conferences. More information can be found under the "Annual Awards" section.

Regional Grants

With a commitment to grassroots work, ITASA has allocated funding to be used at the discretion of each Region Chair and his/her Regional Board. Individual students and campus groups alike can send in proposals for worthy projects (e.g. hosting a regional event, creating a documentary, etc). (read more...)

Pathfinder

Each year, ITASA partners with Eden Social Welfare Foundation to teach blind children English in a language immersion summer camp dubbed "Pathfinder" in Taiwan . ITASA's role in finding qualified volunteer teachers for the summer program was initiated by former ITASA president Calvin Chen; the program has since been praised by Taiwan 's media and government.
