The Development Department is in charge of fundraising for the organization. This department was created in 2004 to better organize fundraising efforts. Development fundraises not only for National Board’ overhead costs, but also for conferences and ITASA’s Regional Grants. Development mostly targets large donors and national organizations, while Conferences target personal contacts, local chapters of national organizations, and regional organizations. In the past, Development has created a donation prospectus and kept track of the donors database.
