TASA Kit

The following checklists are compilations of the ideas of the students represented at ITASA Conferences, Leadership Retreats, and Summits, which are all held annually. The outlines summarize the tips students want to pass on to the new Taiwanese American leaders of college campuses. The answers synthesize the experiences of former generations of Taiwanese Americans who have created and tried a variety of projects.

The information here should anyone interested in the growth of the Taiwanese American community. If you are founding a new Taiwanese American club, these materials will help you get started. If you are running your campus organization, the information will help you fine-tune your leadership. If you are interested in getting involved, these outlines will help you think about what can be achieved.

The ITASA Board exists to provide you with the resources to be active. We want to bring you the shared knowledge of the Taiwanese Americans we have united at our conferences, meetings, and brainstorms. We ask that you read these and think critically: how can you make use of these ideas? what is lacking? what could be better? We strongly encourage you to challenge us with new questions. Email the Board at any time, and we will try to respond by posting an outline like the ones below. By keeping the questioning and answering continuous, we can improve the strategies and tools of Taiwanese American activism.
